Dwayne P. Mitchell
Actor/Singer/Dancer
My name is Dwayne, and I am a Boston based actor, artist, and activist. Originally from Atlanta, GA, I am a first-generation college graduate holding a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Vocal Performance) from the Historically Black institution, Fisk University; and a Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. On and off the stage, I strive to use my platform to advocate for diversity, inclusion, and bridging opportunity gaps for black artists and artists of color in the performing arts; hoping to inspire audiences and pour into the dreamers of tomorrow. Film credits include: Reed between the lines (BET), My parents, my sister & me (NBC), and The Reconstruction: America After the Civil War (PBS). Theatre credits include: Choir Boy (SpeakEasy Stage), Fences (The Umbrella Stage Company), Ragtime (Wheelock Family Theatre), La Cage Aux Folles (Reagle Music Theatre), and Little Women, the Broadway Musical (Wheelock Family Theatre).
